LOCAL DEVELOPMENTS

Bogenfels Restaurant re-opened recently under new ownership. The new owners have made a variety

of changes, the first being the restaurant now has a pool table and a television, which are in the expanded bar area. The menu has been improved, as everything has been made more affordable, they have also introduced side orders and added extra meals to the main menu.

The inside has been re-painted and it has been trans

formed into a warm inviting place; no easy feat for such a large establishment, however the pleasant staff have helped with the transition. On top of all these welcome changes, they have also ammended the opening hours. It is now open for lunch between 12pm and 2pm, as well as evenings from 5pm. For relaxing Fridays, Bogenfels is open from 12pm until 12am. Well worth a visit!

The local police station is also undergoing some refur

bishments, in order to make it more welcoming and functional inside and out. There is a new entrance area being added onto it and the inside rooms are being re-arranged and freshly decorated. The renovations started early last year and are still continuing to change the face of the building. The public hope the improvements will make the station a more inviting place to be in, if they’re there for the right reasons of course! There are changes taking

place to buildings within the town such as Haus Rologo 2009, on the corner of Bismarck and Berg Streets, which is a brand new build but has fitted into Luderitz architecture and style superbly due to it‘s architect, F. Krenz. With it’s large windows, balconies and feature wall it certainly stands out. The building will have two shops/ offices on the bottom floor and four flats on the top two floors.
