BANDANA DAY

Bandana day is to raise awareness and money for cancer sufferers in Namibia. On the 25th of September people bought bandanas all over town and displayed them in all sorts of different ways- even on their dogs.
The theme for this year was pirates so many children from local schools dressed up as pirates to support the cause, and others just displayed and wore their bandanas with pride. There was also a coffee afternoon held at the Nest Hotel to support the cause.
The day was successful as a lot of money was raised. It all builds up to the actual Cup for Cancer on the 31st of October, where the theme is also pirates.
