CANCER ASSOCIATION NEWS

Reach for Recovery Namibia launched a satellite group in Katutura on 03-10-2009. The launch was attended by breast cancer survivors and patients undergoing treatment at present. October month is breast cancer awareness month and we thought that it would be a good idea to use this month as our platform to introduce Reach for Recovery in this community.
We have 3 fully trained volunteers who will run Katutura group. At this time we would like to urge all ladies to have regular breast examinations, as early detection can save lives and breasts. For any further enquiries, please phone the Cancer Association on 061-23 7740.
