PINK DAY

Pink day was on the 16th of October 2009 to help raise breast cancer awareness within Namibia. Lots of pink things were sold to raise money for breast cancer, like key rings, t-shirts, badges and wristbands.
The event is to make women aware of the dangers of breast cancer and encourage them to learn how to check their own breasts properly, hence the ‘Feel your boobies’ badges.
Women are also persuaded to get their breasts checked by doctors. It is better to catch things like this early which makes regular checks a necessity.
