Tragic Losses Over Christmas

Over the Christmas period there have sadly been four deaths in Luderitz, some of which are classed as un-natural. The first of which was Rocco Fourie who was found in his bed on the 1st December 2009, at his Namdeb flat. Rocco was a South African citizen who had come to work in Luderitz a few years ago.
On the 2nd December Willibard Iipumbu was found dead at Shark Island, said to have drowned in the water there. He resided at the Sand Hotel, Luderitz. A suicide occurred on the 21st December at the Tobias Hinyeko building, block 8, when Erastus Abiatar used a firearm to take his own life. More recently, a woman who hadn’t been seen for 2 days was found by her neighbours, deceased in her house in Area 7. Her name was Johana Hainguloshi and she was found on the 9th January 2o1o.
This is a very unfortunate chain of events, and we send our condolences to the families of these people.•
