A New Chair for the New Year

Following the article on Richard Hanse and his search for enough money to buy a new wheelchair featured in the November edition of The Buchter News, it is safe to say that his struggle has come to an end.
Richard had a visit from Rotary members on Saturday 15th January which had received a generous donation put together by readers of ‘The Buchter News.’ They arrived at his house that morning bearing his brand new wheelchair and a suitcase filled with new clothes as well as general hygiene supplies, including deodorant, washing powder and toothpaste. This came as a nice surprise to Richard and when asked how he felt, he replied, “Very happy! There is much more room now.”
