On 28th January the Head Boy of L.S.S, Kelly Kawana, Head Girl Veruschka Eiman, Deputy Head Boy Silva Tytinde and Deputy Head Girl Charlotte Haifiku of L.S.S attended a workshop in Keetmanshoop with other schools within the Karas Region. The workshop was based on a group called TADAH, TEENAGERS AGAINST DRUGS ABUSE & HIV/AIDS. These learners from Luderitz S.S were given lessons to help them establish a TADAH group here in Luderitz. Veruschka and Kelly have already introduced TADAH to the learner’s of Luderitz S.S and classes take place twice a week after school. Fellow members will not just learn about drug abuse and HIV/AIDS but also about confidence, low self esteem and will get the opportunity to host events and work with a community outreach project. The learners look for support from all parents and the wider community for this worthwhile project. •
