SEVER RAINFALL FLOODS LUDERITZ

Luderitz saw severe rainfall on 1st and 2nd May, with an excess of 45mm of rain fell during the two days. 78 families were relocated to Beguela Hall and the Lutheran Hall during the flooding, their homes left uninhabitable in the aftermath of the storm.

Aus is cleaning up its act with the Hope For Aus project.
A group of unemployed local inhabitants have decided to initiate a cleanup project of their own town. With support from the Karas Regional Council they will take the responsibility to clean the whole town at least twice a week.

ECVC BEACH CLEAN UP

REGIONAL COUNCIL RESPONDS TO FATAL HOUSEFIRE

Two children burnt to death in an Area 7 house fire on Friday 22nd April. It is estimated that the fire occurred between 1.00am and 3.00am, whilst Marta Kondangwa was at work.
