HANDING OVER LOANS

The Regional Council gave loans to 23 trained participants in Luderitz. The first intake for people was in May 2011 in Luderitz. The second intake was on the 15th of October. There were 23 participants which each received N$ 2000 to start their own business. They had to do training for four days in Luderitz to be considered for the loans. The businesses are divided into categories, catering, hair salons, printing, Cucashop’s.
The loans were handed over at the Regional Council and Mr. Scholtz gave an inspiring talk.
With giving the loans, young Namibians can be inspired to get into the entrepreneurship. With this opportunity, they can break the cycle of poverty and create employment in their communities. The government is committed to tackling these things and is in full of support. There are many youths who are out of school, but they are struggling to fend for themselves. With giving them support, there will be transformations in the communities and that will make the town a better place.
The people who received the loans are very privileged. This is an opportunity to start and grow into a new adventure and get an opportunity to get out of the poverty. Nothing great can be achieved without sacrifice, sacrifice of time and many more things. You will get great things instead, so work very hard and be successful in your enterprises.
