To end my year in Luderitz on a high I decided to produce a play (with a lot of help from Hannah), with Brightstart Montessori School’s lower elementary class. In the end three upper elementary students were involved too as they got promoted to the next grade mid-production.

Popular Man Passes Away
A well loved member of the Luderitz community unfortunately passed away on Sunday July 18th.
Fourty five year old Hosea Hangula was driving back from Keetmashoop after dropping one of his colleagues off in the town when he crashed his car. The incident occurred about 40km away from Keetmashoop.

The 6month tailoring course at the Luderitz Youth Centre has just been
completed on June 18th, which has been offered between 18 Jan-18 June,2010.

Malicious Robberies
In the past couple of months there have been a lot of housebreakings, and more worryingly, large scale business robberies.
Grillenbergers bottle store was the first to be targeted in town, where they broke into the owner’s house first and then the shop stealing money and stock. The amount of damage inflicted is still being determined.
